You hear a lot that “government inaction” led to runaway climate change. But that’s wrong. It’s government ACTION that helped get us here: subsidizing fossil fuel corporations, granting drilling leases and permits, and criminalizing protest.

The United Nations’ IPCC latest report on climate change just came out, and the warnings it gives are dire: for warming to stay below 1.5°, global greenhouse gas emissions need to peak in the next 3 years and decrease 43% by 2030. That means stopping drilling and ending the fossil fuel industry — or facing an unlivable Earth. As one of the report’s lead scientists said, “It’s now or never.”

Unlike my Chevron-funded opponent, I take $0 from the fossil fuel corporations destroying our planet.

I plan to fight AGAINST the government action that got us here, because our future on Earth depends on it.

You remember the climate change-caused “heat dome” in the Pacific Northwest last summer? It killed 1,000 people and 1 billion sea animals. The death and devastation is only going to get worse if we don’t start taking SERIOUS — not superficial — action.
