Why is it so hard to get an ID in Oregon?

** Hello Friends,
------------------------------------------------------------
None of us are immune from natural disasters.

Imagine what it would be like to lose your identity documents in a fire or flood. In some areas, it would just take a trip down to the DMV to fix the problem (well, maybe not a quick trip, but a relatively drama-free trip).

That's not the way it would happen in Oregon.

In Oregon, you'd be required to bring original documentation, along with the $26 for your drivers license or $40 for your state ID.

Headway has been made with fee reductions for the unhoused, but the same is not available to veterans.

That's why we are fighting for the people who fought for us! We can't do this without you.
