Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Dear Friend,

November marks the one-year anniversary of the launch of the Infection Research Initiative. Through this initiative, the Foundation has committed at least $100 million to address the chronic and intractable infections that are a hallmark of cystic fibrosis.

Over the past year, we brought together some of the top experts in CF infection research and members of the community to help identify the key infection research priorities and fill any potential gaps. We also asked researchers to submit applications for infection-related funding. Knowing the community has many questions around infection, the Foundation also held the first virtual ResearchCon which was focused solely on infection research.

You can visit the Infection Research Initiative page on cff.org to learn more, including the specific areas of research focus, the Infection Research Initiative white paper, and information on our currently funded infection research.
