The Legislature recently passed LB 1073 which would
require Gov. Pete Ricketts to seek out a second round of Emergency
Rental Assistance (ERAP) funds from the federal government.

Gov.
Ricketts vetoed this bill and sent a clear message: Nebraska will never
become a welfare state under his watch.

Two years ago, the COVID-19
pandemic rocked our economy and forced many workers to stay at home.
Emergency rental assistance made sense during this crisis, but the
emergency is over. People are back at work – and continuing to fund rent
payments through the federal government would only lead us down a
slippery slope toward socialism.

Gov. Ricketts was 100% right to veto
this dangerous legislation, and he needs your support. Please click the
