BREAKING NEWS: The Senate Judiciary Committee just voted for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination for the Supreme Court!

Now Judge Jackson’s nomination goes to a full Senate vote, where a majority of Senators can vote to officially confirm her as the first Black woman to sit on the bench.

This is a historic moment for our country, and it’s long overdue. Her years of experience, knowledge, and commitment to equality under the law make her exceedingly qualified to serve on the Court.

Even so, she’s had to endure hours of relentless and baseless attacks from Republicans on the committee. In what should have been a moment of celebration and progress for our country, Republicans like Ted Cruz turned it into a disgraceful circus.

Through it all, Judge Jackson kept her grace. It’s time for the Senate to finish the job.
