Last week was a huge victory for workers when the House majority passed the first federal minimum wage increase in over a decade to raise the wage to $15 per hour by 2025.

Working families across the country have been advocating for a $15 wage for nearly seven years, but the fight doesn’t stop here, John.

Although Washington state has been gradually raising its minimum wage (it will be $13.50 in 2020), there are still 21 other states where workers earn the current federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.
