[1]Women's March
Hi John,
Women’s March is partnering with Red Wine and Blue, PEN America and others
for a National Banned Book Read-In on April 7, 2022 at 8 pm ET. [ [link removed] ]We’d
like to invite you to attend with other Women's Marchers across the
country, John.
While extremists continue to try and silence diverse voices and stories in
our schools, we want to lift up authors and families.
This event is hosted by Stella Parton (who recently spoke out against
attacks on her sister Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library) and will feature
authors of banned books, and stories from moms and students fighting bans
in their local communities.
Join us to hear from these celebrated authors:
* Megan Madison and Jessica Ralli: Our Skin
* Leslea Newman: Heather Has Two Mommies
* Nikki Grimes: Ordinary Hazards
* I.W. Gregorio: None of the Above
* Brad Meltzer: I Am Rosa Parks/I Am Martin Luther King Jr.
Together we can take action to end book bans and make sure ALL students
are represented in their school libraries!
