Dear John,

Congressman Bishop here. I wanted to pass along some key updates from the last two weeks of my campaign and legislative work:

1. I praised President Biden’s Fiscal Year 2023 Discretionary Funding Request. Biden’s budget request reflects a strong commitment to ensuring that all Americans have access to the highest quality, most affordable food, fiber, and medicine. Investments in rural America’s economic development, water systems, healthcare, housing, and internet connectivity are essential.

2. I stopped by Peach County to discuss economic investment and visit students. I met with the Development Authority of Peach County to strategize on growing the number of jobs and the economy in the county. I also made time to visit the students at Fort Valley Middle School and encourage them to think about their futures — they’ll be the leaders of our world, soon, after all!

3. The New York Times reported my race is more competitive than ever. In an article last week, they covered how my seat is no longer seen as a safe-bet, and how national Democrats are rallying behind me in order to defend the House. Please, will you join them in keeping the House blue by chipping in $5 for my re-election campaign?
