Now we need to pressure our representatives to expand the scope of the impeachment inquiry to protect our democracy, root out corruption, enforce the rule of law, guard our national security, defend the communities Trump is threatening, and start delivering the promise of our democracy to all their constituents.

The current impeachment investigation has been limited to Trump’s actions engaging in bribery and extortion of the Ukraine government to leverage foreign assistance for his re-election campaign. While incriminating in itself, this narrow scope ignores Trump’s other high crimes, including his lawless and corrupt self-dealing, obstruction of justice, racist abuses of power, incitement of violence, and subversion of the Constitution.
