We just came back from an incredibly productive meeting in the great city of Boise, Idaho. Delegations from 46 states and territories descended upon the Gem State from April 1-3, fulfilling their duties as National Committee Representatives. And our gracious hosts, the Idaho Young Democrats and their President Kati Durkin, showed us everything this state has to offer and as Kati put it, show that "Idaho is not a lost cause state but a state that has not yet reach its full potential."
In a time where states like Idaho have been counted out by so many across the country, as usual Young Dems are setting the standard for supporting and investing in our red and rural states. In addition, we also had our first ever narcan training and trainings to emphasis mental health, preparing our members with the tools they need to combat the mental health crisis and the opioid overdose epidemic that claims the lives of too many young people throughout this country.
We are doing what other organizations are not and that is what our administration wants to do. We want to go into the red States, hear straight from the source, and see how we can mobilize our young voters everywhere. No stone unturned. No vote taken for granted. We hope this energy from this weekend can carry us through the Midterms and into a strong majority in Congress.
The Young Democrats of America (YDA) is the official youth wing of the Democratic Party of the United States and the oldest partisan youth organization in the country. To help us mobilize the next generation of Democrats, donate anything you can afford right now to YDA.
