Hi John,
Planning for our next conference in August is ramping up, and I wanted to let you know a few ways you can get involved in making Netroots Nation 2022 the most inclusive, strategic, and fun gathering yet. From helping curate panels to volunteering on-site, there are lots of ways you can get involved in the event, which is happening August 18-20 in Pittsburgh.
Help score session proposals—or submit your own!
We just kicked off our annual session submission process, so you can submit your own idea for a panel or training between now and April 14. Click here for details and the submission form.
Each year we have community members help us read and score the proposals we receive. Signing up to be on a selection committee means that you will read and score 20-30 proposals in late April and give us your input on those submissions. If you are submitting a session, you can still be on a selection committee.
Interested in giving your feedback on proposals? Click here to sign up for a panel scoring committee.
Serve on our 2022 host committee
Local to the Pittsburgh area? Join our local host committee! Each year we rely on input from local activists and organizations to help us pinpoint issues to highlight, develop local content, organize a direct action or service project for the conference and ensure that local grassroots activists and organizations from around the state know about the event and how to get involved.
Volunteer at the Convention
Volunteering at Netroots Nation is a great way to meet other attendees—plus it’s a ton of fun! Volunteers help with a variety of tasks on-site, including staffing the registration desk, helping with set-up, and stuffing registration bags. Click here to sign up for our volunteer team.
We truly couldn’t pull off this event every year without the help and input of our community. I hope you're able to join us in Pittsburgh—and in the lead-up planning.
With appreciation,
Mary Rickles
Netroots Nation
PS: Are you thinking about proposing a panel or training but have some questions about the process? We're hosting a Q&A session this Thursday (April 7) at 5pm ET to answer your questions. Click here to sign up.
