The Democrats were at it AGAIN last night...
Those of you who had the misfortune to watch the Atlanta Debate last night, as I did (my excuse is that it's part of my job to know what's going on), know that our friends across the aisle are living in an alternate universe. They "somehow" missed Amb. Sondland's complete exoneration of President Trump, Sec. Pompeo, NSAdvisor Bolton, Rudy Giuliani, et al. with regard to quid pro quo, bribery, and extortion when Sondland stated under penalty of perjury that he presumed with no instruction from above, and with direct instruction to the contrary, that a quid pro quo was in place. To date, there has been no, repeat NO, direct evidence admissible under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (or under the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, for that matter) that in any way implicate the President in any matter of "treason, bribery, high crime or misdemeanor" as required under the Constitution for a valid article of impeachment.
Why is admissible evidence so important, you may well ask? Under Constitution Article I, Sec. 2, "The
executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America." Under American law, a vested power or right is a property right of the holder of that power or right. Under the Fifth Amendment, "No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law... ." Therefore, any Senate impeachment trial is bound to be held under rules granting the President Due Process rights, including evidentiary rules such as the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Any evidence used to remove the President's property, including his office, must be admissible evidence.
USRep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) chairs the House Intelligence Committee. It is expected that the evidentiary problems will be worked out in the House Judiciary Committee, before an actual House Impeachment vote occurs. Thanksgiving
Only one week to Thanksgiving. It is incumbent on us to reflect upon the blessings we have, to share our good fortune with family, friends, and neighbors, and to bestow our blessings upon the less fortunate. This is a uniquely American holiday. It is both secular and religious in nature, and in that spirit, it is incumbent upon us to fervently pray that the good Lord continue to bestow his blessings upon America!

It has become abundantly obvious over the years that the other side doesn't play by any known set of rules. Decorum, logic, fair play, equal time and honesty have all been left by the wayside. We don't have to leave our ethics behind. But in order to both maintain our ethics AND prevail, we have to work that much harder. We can't order you into battle, and we can't tell you what to do. But if these few words and the examples our leaders our setting by their actions are enough to inspire you to join the fray and Keep America Great and on its path to greatness, our hard work is not for naught!
