John,
On Saturday, six people were murdered and 12 others were injured in a mass shooting at a night club in Sacramento, CA. This tragedy marks the largest shooting in Sacramento’s history and the 120th mass shooting this year alone.
Addressing the nation ravaged by gun violence, President Biden reiterated his critical call on Congress to finally take action: “ We must do more than mourn; we must act. ” Because it’s not just the mass shootings that make headlines, friend. It’s everyday gun violence. It’s firearm suicide. It’s loopholes in our gun laws.
“We also continue to call on Congress to act. Ban ghost guns. Require background checks for all gun sales. Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Repeal gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability.”
