Hey there --

Today, we’re uniting with dozens of other businesses and organizations for #AntitrustDay.

Big Tech monopolies shamelessly continue to put profits over people, but now Congress is finally poised to do something about it. Tell Congress to pass historic bipartisan antitrust legislation to rein in Big Tech.

We know we asked you to contact Congress last week, but the next few weeks and months represent our best chance to move this historic bipartisan legislation forward. We need all the support we can get to urge Congress to act:

The rise of Big Tech companies once epitomized the endless possibility of Silicon Valley. But the reality today is a far cry from that idealism. These former upstarts have exploited their dominance to entrench their monopoly power and crush potential rivals. These tech giants have stifled innovation, undercut small business, and deprived the next generation of American entrepreneurs of opportunity.

Now, Congress is considering two bipartisan bills that would rein in Big Tech’s societal harms and monopoly power:

  • The American Innovation and Choice Online Act will prevent dominant platforms from rigging online marketplaces – by self-preferencing and picking winners and losers – and increase opportunity for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

  • The Open App Markets Act will set fair, clear, and enforceable rules to protect competition and strengthen consumer protections within the app market.

There isn't a single silver bullet that will solve the harms of Big Tech, but this antitrust legislation is a key part of the puzzle. We have a narrow window to make it happen. Tell lawmakers to support bipartisan antitrust bills now to rein in Big Tech.

Together, we can take on these tech giants.

Thanks,

Nicole
