WHAT: DC Trash Incinerated in Fairfax County??? Don't we have enough already?
LEARN: ? Our speaker for our April 7th meeting is Mike Ewall, the founder and director of Energy Justice Network, a national support organization for grassroots community groups opposing dirty energy and waste industry facilities such as coal power plants, ethanol plants, natural gas facilities, landfills and incinerators of every sort. ?He's taught hundreds of workshops at college campuses and activist conferences throughout the U.S. His grassroots support work has helped many communities achieve victories against power plants, landfills, incinerators, medical waste facilities and other polluting industries.
Mike will speak to us about our local incinerator and the impact it is having on the environment as well as the social justice implications.
ACTION: We will learn what we can do as individuals and as a group. We also have an exciting opportunity to work on the ground to eliminate waste from being sent to the incinerators. Join us to find out how you can participate and make a difference.
RSVP HERE: and a Zoom link will be sent to you. If you have not received the Zoom link by 6 PM on April 7, please email [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you on April 7 at 7:30.
Sustainably,
Helene
