Friday, The Washington Post reported that President Biden "announced that
he will release 1 million barrels a day from the nation’s Strategic
Petroleum Reserve to starve Russia of revenue and cut the cost American
consumers are paying at the pump." He then urged oil companies, "It’s not
the time to sit on record profits. It’s time to step up for the good of
your country."

John, the world’s reliance on oil empowers authoritarians like
Putin, rogue oil-producing nations, and price-gouging oil companies.
