RGGI brings nearly $2 billion in economic growth and creates 30,000 direct jobs but PA Republicans are blocking the legislation. RGGI is a regional partnership between Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic States designed to cap and reduce carbon emissions while creating new jobs in renewable energy. Economic estimates have it bringing in billions of dollars and tens of thousands of jobs to Pennsylvania, but Republicans are trying to block it in the state legislature.
Overall, consumer electricity prices in states that joined RGGI have *DROPPED* by nearly six percent over the last decade while those prices in non-RGGI state have gone *up* by nearly nine percent. Help me elect more sensible Representatives to the PA state legislation, that believe in supporting our economy and the nature in our beautiful state.
