No one should be forced to go without insulin or any lifesaving medication — but that is exactly what happens when too many diabetics are forced to spend nearly $6,000 out of their own pockets on insulin alone.

We have the lowest insulin cap in the country here in New Mexico. But it doesn’t apply to folks on Medicare, even though diabetes impacts around 1 in 5 Medicare beneficiaries.

It’s past time to act. The House just passed the Affordable Insulin Now Act, which caps out-of-pocket costs for insulin at $35 a month. Martin is a proud co-sponsor of this bill in the Senate, and he’s hoping you’ll join him in supporting it:
