This week a group of Texas House Republicans announced the formation of a new PAC, Leading Texas Forward, with well-known Republican strategist Karl Rove as treasurer. Rep. Charlie Geren ([link removed]) (Fort Worth), one of the PAC’s leaders, said the group seeks to raise $5,000,000 this cycle which they will use primarily to defend Republican incumbents. Geren also said the money will not be used to attack incumbents of either party.
