One of the benefits of living in an apartment complex is amenities like this nice gym. I've been hitting the weights with the help of an awesome powerlifting coach. I'm brand new at this so please don't ask me what my bench press is. 😂 I figure I better get my middle-aged self in shape before real-life Red Dawn, right?

We have had multiple seasons not just in one week, but in one day here. We went from 29 degrees all the way up to 72 in one day. Schizophrenic weather aside, signs of spring are all around us and I've been digging in the dirt a little to see exactly how much I can grow on my tiny apartment patio. Obviously, the veggies on my patio are meant to supplement other food - it would be unrealistic to think that a small container garden could feed a person year-round. But everything I produce, I don't have to buy and that's a win in my book. I'm hardening off my peas, radishes, and lettuce right now and will be getting other stuff potted soon.

My daughter and I are sharing seeds this year to see how well things produce at our different locations. Half an hour can make a big difference!

It's another week in Crazyworld and here's what's going on.

In big news that not many are talking about, Russia has been taking steps to link rubles to the gold standard. This could be extremely bad news for the American dollar, which is currently the world's reserve currency, and it's entirely possible this could result in hyperinflation the likes of which most of us have never seen.

Some of you may remember a guest author we had on The OP, Kit Arthur. He has run into some issues and in this article his wife explains what's going on. It's a pretty clear case of the media trying him before his court date and finding him guilty, but as often happens, there's more to the story.

You've probably seen a lot about solar storms and maybe even glimpsed some auroras this past week. This will continue to accelerate until we hit the Grand Solar Maximum point in the sun's 11-year-cycle. 2024-2026 will be "interesting" as far as the sun is concerned. This article has a really clear, simplified explanation of the phenomenon and how it may affect us.

In other news, I'm not very impressed with Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson's record in sentencing pedophiles. Her weak stance on crimes against children leads me to believe she is not fit to serve on the Supreme Court, even more than other things that have outraged people about her.
