John -

With our Spring Member Drive deadline just around the corner, I wanted to make sure you saw my previous email, below.

Since the drive began, 334 committed supporters have stepped up to become Eco Partner monthly donors. Together, they're giving a combined total of more than $7,100 every month to support this work!

And that's just the start - for the next full year, each month the Wilson Charitable Trust will match every gift $1 for $1.

We still need 31 people like you to join EDF's Eco Partners and claim your first-year match before tomorrow night's midnight deadline. Will you take the next step to support sustainable, pollinator-friendly agriculture with us by starting a monthly gift of $5 or more now?

Thank you for your support,
Emily

Double your impact for pollinators every month

John, sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference.

That’s especially true now, when it comes to pollinators. From tiny bees to large bats, pollinators sustain the food web that in turn sustains all life on Earth.

Will you show them some love by starting a monthly gift during our Spring Member Drive? Your gift will help protect pollinators and their habitats by crafting sustainable ways to grow food while protecting our climate and ecosystems.

You’ll unlock a $1-for-$1 match from the Wilson Charitable Trust on your first 12 gifts, doubling your impact for the next year!

Give $15 monthly → First-year value: $360
Give $25 monthly → First-year value: $600
Give $35 monthly → First-year value: $840
Give $50 monthly → First-year value: $1200

To take on the world’s biggest and most complex environmental problems, we have to make the most of every dollar. We look for high-impact solutions to get the maximum bang for every buck you entrust us with.

That’s why, over our more than 50 years fighting for the environment, more and more of our work has become focused on fighting climate change. There’s hardly a single environmental problem we work on that isn’t directly caused, or made worse, by climate change.

Today, with pollinators in crisis worldwide, we need your help to promote sustainable, climate-smart agricultural practices that can feed the world while protecting nature:

  • We’re equipping farmers in the Western U.S. with tools to optimize their irrigation systems so they can use less water without sacrificing yield. A web application developed by EDF, called OpenET, uses the best available science and publicly available satellite and weather station data to provide detailed estimates of field-level water consumption. OpenET takes advantage of technology and computing power that was unavailable just five years ago.
  • We’re helping farmers who successfully implement climate-smart practices access lower-cost loans. This year, Farmers Business Network launched a new loan program that rewards farmers who achieve climate and water quality benchmarks, set by EDF, with lower interest rates.
  • We're supporting the development of voluntary agricultural carbon markets to increase adoption of climate-smart agriculture practices. These markets are in their infancy, and success depends upon making them work for farmers and the environment. In September, EDF's Director of Government Relations, Callie Eideberg, went to Congress and testified before the House Agricultural Committee about the best ways to do that.

These are just a few of the high-impact ways you’ll be helping to make agriculture more pollinator-friendly, month after month, by becoming an Eco Partner monthly donor.

Please start a monthly gift of $5 or more now, and you’ll make twice the impact for a full year, thanks to a matching gift from the Wilson Charitable Trust.

And the next time you see a butterfly, bee or bird visiting a flower, you can take comfort in knowing you’ve given them a better shot at survival.

Thank you for all you do for pollinators,
