John,
It can be hard to know which organizations are effective and which aren’t.
Even with the orgs you trust, like DFA, it’s hard to keep track of the
different campaigns and actions we’re working on.
That's why we wanted to give you this update to make sure you’re in the
loop on some of the biggest campaigns we’re leading or participating in
with partners right now and to share crucial media appearances our team
has had over the last month.

Your work with our partners at More Perfect Union urging the Consumer

Your demand that Congress fight inflation by taking on corporate greed and
concentrated power.
Across the country, Americans are feeling the impact of inflation. From
groceries to gasoline and basic household items, essential products are
becoming more expensive. While inflation lowers real wages for workers,
corporations simply pass these higher prices onto consumers, increasing
their profit margins at the expense of everyone else.
With inflation at its highest levels in decades, corporate greed and
concentrated power must be reigned in.

Your fight to overturn Louis DeJoy’s finalized plan to have the U.S.
Postal Service purchase over 100,000 new gas-powered trucks that only get
8 miles per gallon.
The Green Postal Service Fleet Act of 2022 would prohibit the United
States Postal Service from carrying out its contract for a new generation
vehicle fleet unless the fleet is at least 75 percent electric. With 68
co-sponsors in the House currently, we need to get every member of
Congress in the House and Senate on board to overturn DeJoys' careless
decision and pass The Green Postal Service Fleet Act.

Your push for Congress to pass the MORE Act.
With a Democratic House and Senate, we must pressure Congress to pass the
MORE Act which would end the federal prohibition and criminalization of
marijuana.
It's past time to decriminalize cannabis at the federal level, expunge
low-level marijuana arrests, and begin the process of undoing a failed war
on drugs that has been used to criminalize communities of color.

Okay, that’s enough highlights for now. DFA members nationwide are doing
critical work and driving progressive change on the issues that matter.
While this update doesn't go into all the direct candidate work we’re
doing for our endorsed candidates on the ground, online, and in the media,
we want to make sure you know DFA doesn't just fight to elect progressive
leaders in Presidential years, we work to win every year at all levels of
office in all 50 states.
We believe that when you fight everywhere, you win everywhere.
