John, as Co-Chair of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus, I haven’t been shy about fighting for cannabis legalization and correcting the historical injustices of failed drug policies.

That’s why I’m so proud to tell you that we passed the MORE Act through the House — our bill to legalize and decriminalize marijuana at the federal level and promote equity in the cannabis industry.

For decades, discriminatory cannabis policies have perpetuated yet another form of systemic racism in America. Despite equal rates of use across populations, people of color are nearly four times more likely to be arrested and face longer sentences for cannabis possession than their white counterparts.

So in addition to ending the War on Drugs, it’s crucial that we also provide access to this booming industry to communities most devastated — which is exactly what our MORE Act sets out to do.

Getting this passed in the House was a significant achievement, but it’s only the first step. I’ll keep fighting to ensure the Senate solidifies our work to make our cannabis policies more equitable, inclusive, and just for all — and I’m counting on you to help me do that.

Will you add your name to my petition to demand the Senate call a vote to pass the MORE Act ? Congress must address our nation’s outdated marijuana policies with popular, equitable reform. [[link removed]]

Thank you for lifting this issue up.
