Take Action

The Tongass National Forest could be invaded by timber companies,
threatening wildlife found nowhere else in the world. Give to fight
back today!

Help protect wildlife!

Dear Friend of
Defenders,

There is no animal, no habitat and no wilderness that is safe from the
Trump administration.

The latest target of this pillaging onslaught is the Tongass National
Forest in Alaska. A storybook land of glaciers, islands and forests
full of wild plants and animals, this vast temperate rainforest could
soon be invaded by chainsaws and bulldozers.

Where you and I see life and beauty, others see only profits.

That's why I'm counting on you, right this minute, to make
a generous gift of $15 or more to fight for the wild.

Five species of salmon, brown and black bears, bald eagles, wolves and
Sitka black-tailed deer call this forest home. Migratory birds arrive
from all over the continent to nest and raise young here. Some
animals, like the Prince of Wales flying squirrel, live no place else
on Earth.

If we can't stop this administration from selling out the
Tongass to loggers, those animals will have nowhere else to go -
and many of them could die.

Your urgent gift of $15 or more will help save the Tongass and speak
out for wildlife who have no voice of their own by:

*

Supporting landmark lawsuits we've filed on behalf of
wolves and other imperiled animals;

*

Keeping scientists and advocates in the field in Alaska and
across the country to defend and restore wildlife and build
public support for action;

*

Enabling science-based advocacy in Washington, DC to keep the
heat on the administration and Congress

These are dark times for the wildlife you and I love, no doubt about
it. But we will get through this, if we stick together and refuse to
give up.

What about you? Are you with us?

Sincerely,

Jamie Rappaport Clark

P.S.: Our tireless fight for wolves and other imperiled wildlife is
only possible because of supporters like you. The best way you can
make a sustained impact to protect vulnerable wildlife is through an
automatic monthly donation!
