** Victory! South Carolina 19th State Legislature to Join Convention of States
------------------------------------------------------------
We have amazing news!
The South Carolina House of Representatives just voted 64-48 to pass the Convention of States Resolution, making the Palmetto State legislature the 19th to call for a Convention of States to end federal overreach!
The South Carolina Senate voted on March 10 to pass the Convention of States Resolution, and the House voted last year to do the same. But the Senate removed a sunset clause that the House had included. Today’s vote in the South Carolina House was to concur in that change. It ensures that the Resolution will continue to be valid until the required 34 states have passed similar resolutions, thus triggering the Convention.
We couldn’t be more proud of our team in South Carolina. They’ve worked tirelessly over the last several years to reach this milestone, and they’re a testament to the hard work and patriotism of Convention of States volunteers.
They’ve packed hearing rooms. They’ve organized capitol rallies. They’ve called, emailed, and met with their legislators, and they’ve done it all while facing some serious opposition. But they never gave up! They continued to push for our Resolution’s passage, and their victory today shows what can happen when We the People stand up and demand our liberty.
