Dear Friend,
Sending humans to doors is among the most expensive forms of
communication. Recruiting, hiring, training, management,
transportation, benefits and wages are just part of that equation.
It's worth it though.
A human can't be ignored like an email or a letter. A human can
answer questions and connect in meaningful ways with other humans
about the important issues on which we work.
We invest in our field canvass because it's simply the most
effective way to inform and engage with you and your
neighbors. The investment yields many benefits
including:
* letters to decision makers
* feedback on our campaigns
* dues paying members who build our political clout
* volunteers, whistle-blowers and other allies
Right now we're hiring field canvassers in our
Cleveland office to do critical organizing work on our common-sense
environmental and consumer campaigns. This is the time we need
your support to build staff and strength for the second and third
quarters of the year.
We've
set our goal at raising $30,000 by Earth Day
Won't you please help with a
contribution of any amount?
Thanks for all you do,
Rachael Belz, Ohio Citizen Action Executive Director http://www.ohiocitizen.org/
P.S. I loved my time as a field canvasser. If you know anyone who
would be a good fit, please let us know. More information on our
website.
