Government price controls: The House passed a bill that would enact government price controls for insulin. Here’s what Leftists don’t understand –– the answer to high drug prices is less government overreach, not more. In a competitive free market unburdened by unnecessary FDA regulations, insulin prices could be a fraction of their current cost. It’s up to Congress to get out of the way. The bill now heads to the Senate, but certain Senators are working on competing proposals.

A radical nominee rejected: Biden nominated David Weil, a radical Obama alum, to lead the Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division. While an obscure position, don’t underestimate its importance in shaping our economy through its regulatory powers. Weil is so radical that even three Democrat Senators joined all Republicans in rejecting his nomination. Sadly, too many of Biden’s other radical picks have gotten through—it’s why there is a crisis at the border that is getting worse under Biden’s new policies.
House Votes to Legalize Pot: Kids are behind in school, inflation is at a 40-year high, and crime is way up. But rather than confront the serious issues, House Democrats passed the MORE Act to deschedule marijuana use…and more.
The bill would also expunge convictions for numerous federal marijuana-related offenses and release convicts from jail, use your taxpayer dollars to give loans to marijuana companies, and grow the federal bureaucracy with the creation of a Cannabis Justice Office.
