We sent a number of messages ahead of the first election-year FEC deadline, and I know my team and I have asked a LOT of you over the past few days. So, I promise this isn’t another email asking for a donation — I’m only reaching out to say thanks.
I appreciate everything you’ve done to support the work we’re doing to defeat Ron Johnson and flip Wisconsin’s Senate seat. And I'm proud to let you know that we not only reached our end-of-quarter fundraising goal — we surpassed it. I hope you’re proud, too. When we decided to go up on TV early, I knew we were taking a big risk, but grassroots donations from thousands of supporters like you helped us fill the gap we created in our budget. Now, we’re in a position to keep our first ads running and compete with Ron Johnson on the air. That’s important, especially right now. Millions of people across this country are watching everyday costs go up. Too many folks are stretching their pocketbooks just to fill a tank of gas. Big corporations are putting the squeeze on working families. Seniors are cutting pills to make their prescriptions last a bit longer. And we have a U.S. Senator who isn’t doing a damn thing about any of it. It's time to replace Ron Johnson with someone who’s going to actually fight for our communities, lower costs for families, and make sure ordinary folks finally get a little breathing room. Frankly, I don’t think that’s too much to ask for. I’m running for U.S. Senate to represent the people of Wisconsin, not corporate interests or big political donors. I got in this race to fight for people like you — and you deserve nothing less than someone who’s going to show up, listen to what you have to say, be your voice in Washington, and get the job done for you and your family. That’s what I’m fighting for. Every time grassroots supporters like you chip in, those donations allow us to run the kind of campaign that can take on Ron Johnson, flip this Senate seat for the people of Wisconsin, and compete with the outrageous amount of Republican spending we’re going to see in this election. So, I wanted to thank you again for your trust and support. There's a lot of work ahead of us, and the path forward will not be easy. But the only way we'll win is if we work together, which is why I’m so grateful to have you on our team. Forward! — Sarah Godlewski
