big wins on Day 39
Author's Note: I wrote this up after some key victories and wanted to make sure you got the message before it was too late. However, we are still at the Capitol working on a number of issues - including, but not limited to (we have a few surprises we are working on), Campus Free Speech. I hope to have some more good news to send you tomorrow morning, Please keep myself and our team in your prayers.
In a great day for Georgia students AND for life - we have now passed the Parental Bill of Rights (HB 1178), a ban on the teaching of Divisive Concepts (aka racist, anti-American indoctrination) (HB 1084), and the Maternal Home Bill (SB 116).
On top of that, we passed SB 456 - the ban on abortion-by-mail - out of Health Committee.
This is HUGE!
Long before session started, we began touting our Save Our Students Agenda - getting rid of obscenity in schools, putting parents back in charge, ending racist indoctrination, and saving girls sports. On this second-to-last day of session, we took a big step forward toward a grand slam on our agenda.
We would like to thank Governor Brian Kemp, Senator Clint Dixon, Representative Josh Bonner and all those who voted for the Parental Bill of Rights. This is a major win for parents, and it underscores the very real threat we face from the other side.
As liberals got up to speak against this bill, it is clear how they so devalue parents and the family. Children are to be raised by the state and its institutions, according to their worldview. Our goal is to make sure their words haunt them in November!
We would also like to thank Governor Kemp, Senator Bo Hatchett, Representative Will Wade and all those who voted to ban racist, Divisive Concepts, like CRT, from being taught in our schools. No child should ever be taught that the color of their skin defines them, puts them in a box, or makes them guilty for the actions of others.
Again, the opposition to this bill illustrates exactly what the left wants to do - employ Marxist tactics to divide people into groups and instill a hatred of one other, racial strife, and an anti-American worldview into our children.
With the passage of these bills, our Save Our Students Agenda is nearly complete. TAKE ACTION HERE TO ENCOURAGE YOUR LEGISLATORS TO VOTE YES TO SAVE GIRLS SPORTS!
In addition to Save Our Students, we are proud to lead the charge for life in Georgia. The passage of SB 116, sponsored by Senator Randy Robertson, is a key step toward empowering pregnant women as they choose life. Increasingly the Church must step up in this arena, and this bill empowers non-profits to do just that.
Finally, SB 456 by Senator Bruce Thompson is a life-saving and health-protecting bill aimed at correcting Biden's radical abortion-by-mail agenda. This bill would require an in-person examination and ban the abortion pill being sent by mail. It now appears set for a Floor vote.
Our state continues to lead the nation for life, and we are proud to stand with these leaders as we work to make abortion unthinkable.
For His Glory,
