Today, Amazon warehouse workers in Staten Island made history by winning their union election and becoming the first Amazon union in the country! Despite the fact that Jeff Bezos and Amazon spent $4.3 million on union busting last year alone, the worker-led Amazon Labor Union held strong and succeeded in winning a seat at the table for all 8,325 workers at the JFK8 warehouse.
Their impact is already spreading - In Bessemer, AL Amazon workers are still waiting to see if the challenged ballots will give the workers a win, and in February a second Long Island Amazon warehouse filed for an NLRB election.
Join us to show our support for Amazon workers this
Monday at 12pm at Jeff Bezos' house at 2320 S St NW
to tell him that this is only the beginning, and to stop union busting at Amazon!
Please RSVP here if you are able to make it, and contact [email protected] with any questions.
Hope to see you there!
