Honoring
our Veterans
Last
week, I had to honor of celebrating Veterans Day in Billings with
Montana veterans.
Will
James Middle School
I began
my day at Will James Middle School, where I spoke at the annual
Veterans Day Assembly. The assembly was packed with hundreds of veterans,
families and students, all there celebrating such an important day for
our country. Before the assembly, I joined the students in putting
together care packages for veterans deployed
overseas.
Montana
State University Billings
Following the Will James Middle School Veterans
Day Assembly, I headed over to Montana State University –
Billings (MSUB) where I spoke at their Veterans Day ceremony. At the
ceremony, I had the honor of thanking Montana veterans including MSUB
Chancellor Edelman who has done tremendous work to make MSUB such a
Veteran-friendly campus. I also had the privilege of spending time
with two Montana veterans who served our nation in World War II! It was a
true honor.
Independence Hall
To end the day, I visited Independence Hall. This amazing facility
serves as transitional housing for honorably discharged veterans and
currently serves 19 veterans. I am very thankful for the work they do
to lend a helping hand to our veterans in Billings.
Thank You For
Your Service
As the son of a U.S.
Marine, I am always glad to support our veterans. And on this
year’s Veterans Day, it was an honor to spend time and thank our Montana
veterans for their selfless bravery in defending our nation’s
freedom.
Best
Wishes,
