Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media insist that the spike in gas and consumer prices can be laid at the feet of Vladimir Putin and his unjustifiable invasion of Ukraine.

That is nonsense. Gas prices were already rising when Putin invaded, and inflation has been plaguing the American economy for most of Biden’s term. Both are thanks to Biden’s reckless and un-American policies.

The Democrats’ rampant and irresponsible spending directly contributed to, and arguably caused, our current inflation crisis.

By flooding the market with cash while the supply side of the economy was still slowly recovering from the Coronavirus pandemic, Biden and Democrats created a huge mismatch in supply and demand. When demand far outstrips supply, you get inflation.

What’s more, Biden has all but declared war on the energy sector. Moves like ending land leasing for drilling on federal lands, or cracking down on carbon emission standards, drove up the price of gas long before Putin’s aggression.

So, while Putin‘s invasion of Ukraine is horrific and inexcusable, claiming that he is solely responsible for our inflationary woes is a flat-out lie. Joe Biden got us into this mess. If he and his party wanted, they could get us out of it.

But as long as Democrats are in power, they are going to chase an irresponsible agenda that punishes the American consumer. That’s why we have to take back the House in November!
