I recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in design and a minor in writing. Throughout undergrad, I was looking for opportunities to combine these two disciplines and had to self-teach a lot of journalistic practices in pursuit of my own projects. PublicSource has been an invaluable learning experience for me in gaining a formal journalistic experience and in providing the opportunity to work on interesting, meaningful projects with both my visual design and writing skills. Learning from a small team of dedicated and kind people has also made PublicSource a wonderful place to work and has opened up future career opportunities.
