RAMADAN MUBARAK!
Wishing all of our friends, families, and neighbors a happy welcome to the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan will be celebrated across the world from April 2nd - May 2nd and it signifies the month in which the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Muslims celebrate this month by keeping fast from dawn to dusk, a ritual that helps strengthen empathy for those in need.
MCN welcomed this month with a big Ramadan Food Pack-a-Thon where we packed 200 boxes of groceries to give out to families in East Harlem. We were grateful for the partnership with the 96th street mosque and wonderful volunteers from Union Settlement, East Harlem Partnership, and 700 Strong who helped pack the boxes!

As we embark on this month, we challenge everyone to take part in our #MCNRamadanCivicChallenge. This challenge takes the spirit of giving and puts it into a calendar where each day you take part in an act of charity to develop your civic spirit! Sign up for the challenge below and share your pics with us as we create social posts sharing in the celebration of this month with the world.
Day 1 involves signing up yourself or a friend and neighbor to vote! Are you ready for the challenge?
MCN's programming and community services are made possible through generous donations from our community! We're proud to say that we've reached Guidestar and Charity Navigator's good nonprofit status! These ratings demonstrate our commitment to transparency and accountability to our donors!
Therefore, please give with confidence this Ramadan to MCN. It is with your support that we can build a Muslim civil-society-based institution advancing the narrative for Muslim Americans. Please consider a donation of $50, $100, $250 to help us continue building a Muslim institution that empowers our community!
With Gratitude,
