As gas prices continue to skyrocket both here in California and globally, there is one important lesson we hope our leaders have learned:

The United States MUST end its dependence on fossil fuels and transition to a clean energy economy.

Not only does our reliance exacerbate climate change, but it also funds authoritarianism across the globe.

That’s why we’re calling on President Biden to begin making the massive investments we need in clean, renewable energy to finally end our reliance on fossil fuels.

Please, will you join us? Tell the Biden Administration: Invest in clean, renewable energy!

Just a few days ago, President Biden addressed this issue in a speech about the ongoing Russia sanctions:

“Transforming our economy to run on electric vehicles powered by clean energy … will mean that no one has to worry about the price at the gas pump in the future. That’ll mean tyrants like Putin won’t be able to use fossil fuels as weapons against other nations. And it will make America a world leader in manufacturing and exporting clean energy technologies to countries all around the world.
This is the goal we should be racing toward.”

We wholeheartedly agree!

But we need to remind our President that words are NOT enough. This gas crisis demands bold and swift action – beginning with real and meaningful investments in developing clean energy.
