** The fools in the White House aren't pulling anything over on the markets.
------------------------------------------------------------
Daily Caller ([link removed]) (3/31/22) reports: "President Joe Biden is planning to announce the release of tens of millions of barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), the White House said Thursday. The president is expected to order the Department of Energy, the agency responsible for managing the SPR, to release an average of a million barrels of oil per day for 180 consecutive days, according to the White House. The White House’s official schedule included an event Thursday about the 'Administration’s actions to reduce the impact of Putin’s price hike on energy prices and lower gas prices at the pump for American families.' Biden is slated to deliver remarks at 1:30 p.m. during the event. 'It’s not a "strategic price reserve." It was never intended for this and it won’t do anything, just like the last one,' Institute for Energy Research President Tom Pyle told the Daily Caller News
Foundation on Thursday. 'This is about nine days worth of demand, but even less because a barrel of crude from the Reserve does not equal a barrel of gasoline.' 'This is an attempt to try to create the illusion that they care,' he added. 'If they did care, they would be doing a whole host of things to incentivize domestic oil and gas production.'"

"Biden's plan to release strategic oil reserves is a distraction from the failures of his administration."

Biden Administration: "Never let a good war go to waste!"

** Breitbart ([link removed])
(3/31/22) reports: "On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s 'All In,' Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm stated that many hoped 'we would be focusing solely on clean energy solutions, renewable, making that transition,' but the war in Ukraine has thrown a wrench into that and said that “we have got to use this reason to become energy independent with clean energy.' Host Chris Hayes said that he would probably take a similar approach to President Joe Biden because people need gas to get around and gas price increases harm people, but 'At the same time, it just seems so depressingly insane that we are here in 2022 and it’s like, let’s drill baby, drill, let’s get more oil on those markets, this is the solution. And it’s like it’s always the next cigarette is the one we’re going to give up, but for now, we need to buy another carton. Why should I not be depressed by this?' Granholm responded, 'I totally get it, Chris, believe me. I think a lot of us came into this hoping that we would be focusing
solely on clean energy solutions, renewable, making that transition, but we didn’t anticipate that Vladimir Putin would wage war on Ukraine and cause these markets to go out of control. And so, that’s why the president said this is a two-step solution. One is, let’s increase supply right now because we’re on a wartime footing. And we want to reduce people’s pain at the pump and safeguard them against this incredible volatility. But second, we have got to use this reason to become energy independent with clean energy. We don’t want to be relying upon fossil fuel markets that are incredibly volatile or from countries that don’t have our interests at heart. So, ultimately, the best solution is to go clean.'"

Don't worry guys, the president wasn't lying, it was just an early April Fool's joke according to "fact" checkers.

(3/31/22) reports: "President Joe Biden vastly overpromised Thursday when he told Americans they can expect savings of $500 a month by transitioning to renewable energy. It’s possible they might save that much over a year, not per month. Biden addressed the subject while announcing plans to order the release of 1 million barrels of oil per day from the strategic petroleum reserve for the next six months. Biden is grappling with fallout from surging energy prices, including gasoline that has reached an average of $4.23 per gallon, after the United States banned imports of Russian oil and gas. It’s unclear how much gasoline prices might dip from Biden’s new order, but the president did promise immediate savings from adopting renewable energy: BIDEN: 'If your home is powered by safer, cheaper, cleaner electricity like solar or heat pumps, you can save about $500 a month on average.'...Earlier this year Biden himself promised to save 'families an average of $500 a year by combatting climate
change.' But in a fumble, he cast the savings this time as monthly. The White House corrected Biden’s remark in a transcript, making clear he meant to say the savings he predicted would be over a year."
