Hupfer and other members of the Republican National Committee's legal
team assist in the U.S. Virgin Islands Territorial Caucus that occurred
earlier this week.
This week, as General Counsel of the Republican
National Committee (RNC), I was in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin
Islands, along with other members of our legal team, to assist in the
territory's caucus to elect a state chairman, national committeewoman
and committeeman, and state committee members.

It was a good reminder
of what our party is all about — people — and how, as a grassroots
organization, we empower them to effect change in their communities.
It's this continued focus, this focus on people, that will lead our
party to victory this November. Because unlike the Democrats who have
failed to realize that their policies are harmful, that their policies
have made people worse off, Republicans will be championing policies
that counter inflation, unleash American energy, secure our border, and
champion American greatness.

Best,
Chairman Kyle Hupfer
 Governor
Holcomb's Week That WasStrengthening the Hoosier-Slovak Relationship
Gov. Holcomb and First Lady Janet Holcomb walk to lay a wreath at the
Gate of Freedom in Bratislava, Slovakia.
On Monday, Gov. Holcomb,
Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers, and other members of the Hoosier
delegation landed in Slovakia in central Europe. This marked Gov.
Holcomb's 10th international economic development trip and his second to
the country.

While in Slovakia, Gov. Holcomb and the First Lady
placed a wreath at the Gate of Freedom in Bratislava, which honors the
victims of communism who tried to cross the Iron Curtain and escape into
freedom between 1948 - 1949. He also met with Ukrainian refugees who
have found refuge in the country, and offered Hoosier support to meet
their needs.

Gov. Holcomb also met with many officials of the Slovak
Republic including the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, and
members of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency, as well
as the U.S. Ambassador to the Slovak Republic Bridget Brink.

The
Hoosier delegation also traveled to Israel, which marked Gov. Holcomb's
third trip to the country.

 Op-Ed: "Extending 'Hoosier Hospitality'
Beyond Borders"
On Sunday, Gov. Holcomb released an op-ed in the
Northwest Indiana Times that, among other things, noted that Indiana is
selling off nearly $150 million of Russian-related investments after he
ordered a review of the state's financial ties to Russia.

"Our
efforts alone won't be enough, but we will contribute. Indeed, the world
must be clear in words and even more so in actions," wrote Gov. Holcomb.

Mike Pence Sits Down on RNC Chairwoman's
Podcast "Real America" [link removed]
On Tuesday, the Republican National Committee (RNC)
released a new episode of Real America, a podcast hosted by RNC
Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. In this episode, Chairwoman McDaniel sat
down with Vice President Mike Pence to discuss the Biden
administration’s failures on the world stage, the war in Ukraine, the
Supreme Court, and the long record of successes from the Trump-Pence
administration.

“The reality is from the first days of the Biden
administration you literally saw the reopening of the Iran nuclear
deal, you saw an administration that stood silent while rockets
showered down on our most cherished ally, Israel. You saw an
administration shut down the Keystone Pipeline in our country and then
approved the Nord Stream 2 pipeline for the Russians to Europe. And, of
course, the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. I believe all send
a message of weakness to the world, and weakness arouses evil,” said
Vice President Pence.

NBC News Poll: Midterm Environment Looks More Like 2010 Than
2018 On Sunday, NBC News released their
[link removed]
ls-lowest-level-presidency-war-inflation-fears-rcna21679 latest poll
which found that Joe Biden’s overall job approval rating had declined
to 40%, the lowest level of his presidency, and that Republicans
enjoyed a 2-point lead on the generic Congressional ballot.

But that
doesn't tell the full story.

"For starters, the
R+2 showing is the GOP’s best score on congressional preference in our
poll since 2014.

"And you remember what happened in the 2014
midterms.

"What’s more, the NBC News poll shows a midterm
environment that looks a lot more like 2010 (when the GOP won the
House) than 2018 (when Democrats did).

"Republicans are ahead among
independents by double digits; the GOP has a larger lead with men than
Dems do with women; and white voters have gone from R+5 in 2018 to R+17
now.

"Finally, and perhaps most importantly, our NBC News poll shows
Republicans with a whopping 17-point advantage in enthusiasm, with 67
percent of Republicans indicating a high level of interest in the
midterms (either a “9” or “10” on a 10-point scale), compared with 50
percent for Democrats."
