Forgive me, I know I emailed you very recently. But I have to reach out to you again today.

Since my last email, our team at Freedom for Animals have received yet more reports of owls and birds of prey being exploited in public events. The Spring season brings lots of events and tragically these birds are being used as attractions. To entertain humans.

These birds are being put on display and tied down by their legs to be held captive. Unable to fly free. Birds can spend hour upon hour tied down in this way.

We have to do something to end this cruelty!

In the last few weeks the government has begun to consider a possible ban on the horrific practice of tethering birds in zoos! This is part of a wider review on zoo legislation and we are delighted that tethering is finally getting this attention. This is a huge opportunity to move to end this cruel practice and help thousands of suffering animals.

His wings were designed to carry him through the night sky and will grow to be almost two metres across but sadly in a bird of prey display, he will never be able to experience that freedom.

Instead he spends hours tied down by his legs on high streets, in markets, shopping centres and other unnatural environments.
