As you now know, today's FEC deadline is a crucial moment for Democratic campaigns across the country -- especially for sitting Members of Congress like me who represent tough "frontline" districts in the fight for House control.

But this past week has been a reminder that we are also in a critical moment for our democracy.

• Word broke that a sitting Supreme Court Justice's wife repeatedly called on Trump's Chief of Staff to overturn the 2020 presidential election.


• The House Committee investigating the insurrection is looking into a possible "cover-up” of White House records via Donald Trump's use of a burner phone.


• All the while, Kevin McCarthy is still boasting about plans to restore the committee assignments of Q-Anon fanatics like Marjorie Taylor Greene.

On the other hand, Democrats are making incredible progress for the American people. This Congress passed a major relief bill that cut child poverty in half. President Biden's bipartisan infrastructure package brought historic and much-needed investments in our roads, bridges, and airports. House Democrats also passed critical measures to lower prescription drug costs and fight climate change.

The contrast is clear, and in 2022 everything we've worked for is on the line. With the stakes this high, we need to be proactive and meet this moment head on – which is why I'm reaching out:
