There is an enormous force in this country aimed at disappearing entire groups of people, of denying the human right of health care, of normalizing horrific beliefs and behaviors that assume some people are more valid and valuable than others.
So much of what ails us - what threatens our extinction - is rooted in a culture of separation, supremacy, and scarcity. It’s not enough to just wake up. We need to detox - to interrogate and excavate our internalized beliefs, to take responsibility for our part in this mess, and to do what is necessary to build a better future. We deserve so much more than what we have inherited.
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness shouldn’t only be the privilege of the few, but a fundamental right for us all. For the sake of humanity, may we challenge ideas of scarcity and self-preservation and imagine better - to go from futility to possibility, from individualism to mutual responsibility, from treating symptoms to transforming systems, from winning at all costs to working across difference, from policies of fear to revolutionary love, and from a well-being of me to a well-being of we.

Today, as humanity confronts a looming climate catastrophe, what’s needed is a new political-economic project [ [link removed] ]. Its aim would be to replace such exceptionalism and the hoarding of the earth’s resources for the “good life”. [click to tweet] [ [link removed] ]

As a society, we have to call this barrage of attacks what it truly is: a small group of politicians [ [link removed] ] attempting to create a world where transgender people do not exist. Trans Day of Visibility. [ [link removed] ] [click to tweet] [ [link removed] ]
Most Americans will need home care at some point, whether we are growing older, recovering from surgery or living with a disability. We need more home care workers. But first we have to pay them. [ [link removed] ][click to tweet] [ [link removed] ]

Action in defense of trans lives now is an essential part of all movements for justice. Join us this week and always. The time for mass mobilization in defense of trans lives is now. Trans youth are under attack in states across the country. As efforts to criminalize trans bodies escalate, so must our resistance.
✨Support trans organizers in Texas fighting the state’s efforts to remove trans youth from their affirming homes.
✨Tell Alabama lawmakers to oppose SB184/HB266, which would make trans health care a felony.
✨Tell Idaho lawmakers to oppose H 675 which would make trans health care a felony punishable by life in prison.
✨Demand the South Carolina legislature stop S531 and H4608 which is trying to ban trans women and girls from sports.
✨Tell Missouri lawmakers to oppose SB 781 & SB 843 because trans youth deserve health care, safety and freedom.
✨The infamous #DontSayGay bill would ban mentioning LGBTQ people in school and would actually impact the entire LGBTQ community. Tell Gov. DeSantis to veto HB 1557.

Y’all. I wrote a book. It has been the most honest and terrifying journey I have ever embarked on - a labor of love and reckoning about how I got here and what it means to be truly well in a toxic world. In American Detox: The Myth of Wellness and How We Can Truly Heal [ [link removed] ], [ [link removed] ] I grapple with the privilege of wellness, my addiction to perfectionism, who I am beyond whiteness and finding my right role and responsibility in fighting for a future that we all deserve. My hope is that this book stirs you up. I hope it excavates old and stubborn ground. I hope it makes you curious about what you don’t know and accepting of what you can’t understand. I hope it makes you outraged and also gives you hope. And I hope it calls us all to reimagine wellbeing that enables everyone to thrive. Available for pre-sale at your favorite indie. book store. [ [link removed] ]American Detox is not just a book but a community of practice. Therefore, we are creating a unique book club [ [link removed] ] (free with purchase) to support our journey toward personal and collective liberation. When you join the book club [ [link removed] ], you’ll get:
• Video practices that accompany each chapter• Live community calls with Kerri and special guests• Workbook that includes reflection questions, discussion guide and resources to go deeper
