Here’s the work your $3 contribution is funding:

* Preparing for a tough re-election: Our race was the second most
expensive House race in the country in 2020 — Republicans spent more
than $10 million trying to unseat Alexandria. As she continues to use
her voice in Congress to fight for progressive change, we need to
prepare for another massive and expensive race funded by wealthy
special interests.

* Building resources to make local and community-focused impact:
Community organizing is how our movement stopped the NRG fracked gas
plant from being built in the backyards of Queens residents; it’s how
we educated folks on the importance of filling out the Census and
saved New York a congressional seat; and it’s how we raised millions
of dollars for relief when disaster hit our communities — from The
Bronx to Texas.

* Passing progressive policies: Alexandria and our movement recently
helped pass legislation to provide millions to grassroots
organizations and other public institutions in The Bronx and Queens,
so they can fight gentrification, reduce maternal mortality, help kids
hurt by the pandemic graduate high school, apply community-driven
solutions to violence, and create one of the first ever Green New Deal
workforce training programs.

Alexandria can’t do this work alone. She needs a movement alongside her.
And when we receive enough support from small-dollar donors to hit each
and every monthly goal, we can carry out our full strategy to expand our
movement and keep Alexandria in Congress fighting to enact progressive
change in the years to come.
