John,
It’s Jennifer Edwards, Color Of Change’s Senior Director of Digital. I’m about to talk a little about what that involves at the nation’s largest online racial justice organization, but first, I have to ask.
It’s the last day of our Women’s History Month fundraising drive. You’re one of COC’s top supporters, so we’re asking one more time — will you make a contribution of $10 or more to help us win justice for Black women and our entire society?
Yes, I’ll make a gift today!
Supporters like you play such a vital role in our organization. By reading emails and signing petitions, you’re fueling campaigns that are winning real change for Black folks across the country. By pitching in $5, $10, or $25, you’re helping us grow our grassroots donor community so that we can sustain our movement long-term and continue to focus on the type of work that will transform society.
I mean it when I say that I believe in the power of COC members like you — before I became a full-time employee here, I was one!
So here’s my final pitch as someone who has been on the sending and receiving end of emails like this one. While we invest in local organizing squads and in-person community building, being an adaptive digital organization allows us to respond to a changing technological landscape, expanding our reach to every corner of the country even as we maximize your dollar’s impact.
We’re reaching folks where they are, and we’re doing it in cost-effective, yet innovative ways. We couldn’t do this work without you, John. So today, will you help us close out Women’s History Month with a contribution of $10 or more so that we can keep fighting to win real change?

Growing up in New York City, I felt called to be a voice for my community and the people around me who weren’t being listened to by elected officials. At COC, I’m grateful to be surrounded by Black women who come from all walks of life and are all equally passionate about our shared mission to create a more human, less hostile world for Black people.
And I’m thankful to be moving forward in this work with folks like you in our corner.
Until Justice Is Real,
Jennifer Edwards (Pronouns: she/hers) Senior Director of Digital Color Of Change
