PLANNED PARENTHOOD
Idaho recently became the first state in 2022 to enact a Texas-style, S.B. 8 copycat abortion ban. Idaho's ban, known as S.B. 1309, bans abortion at approximately six weeks of pregnancy. That's before many people even know they're pregnant.

Yesterday, Planned Parenthood filed a petition in the Idaho Supreme Court to block this dangerous abortion ban.

The ban is set to go into effect on April 22 — that's only three weeks away.

We're doing everything we can right now to stop this abortion ban from ever taking effect — and we are counting on your help again today. Rush your gift now: Your donation will help protect abortion access in Idaho and everywhere it's under attack, and expand and protect access to reproductive health and rights.

Much like the abortion ban that went into effect in Texas in September, S.B. 1309 allows individuals to sue abortion providers who violate this unconstitutional ban.

Idaho's abortion ban allows certain family members of patients to sue abortion providers and collect a minimum $20,000 reward for a successful claim — a minimum of $20,000.

Let that sink in.

Big problems require big solutions. That's why we've gone to court in Idaho to represent the majority of Americans who say: "Get your bans off our bodies!"

With your help, we will continue to work to protect abortion access in courtrooms and communities across the country, provide sex education, and make sure Planned Parenthood health centers have the resources they need to be there for patients — no matter what.

Help Planned Parenthood stand strong against the Idaho abortion ban and every unconstitutional abortion ban. Make an urgent gift today to defend safe, legal abortion.
