John—
The largest-scale mass shooting in more than two years happened earlier this month, and it barely caused a blip on the national radar.
At a car show in Dumas, Arkansas, on March 19, one person was killed and at least 27 were injured. It was just one of nine mass shootings that weekend. In total, at least eight people were killed and more than 60 were injured in a weekend full of bloodshed.
Sadly, weekends like this are all too common in our country. It doesn’t have to be this way. We know what the solutions are to keep our communities safe—and we need your help.
Can you make a contribution to Giffords Law Center today to ensure that we have the resources to continue fighting this epidemic? We’re counting on your support.
While shootings and deaths are on the rise, gun lobby officials have been strategically weakening gun laws in states across the country. But they aren’t the only ones who have been busy—our attorneys are working around the clock to block gun lobby–backed measures in state legislatures and to fight for policies that keep our communities safe.
Despite our progress, there’s so much more work to be done.

Thank you for being a part of this team. We couldn’t do this work without your help.
Warmly,
Robyn
PS: In case you missed it, we released our latest report, Gun Violence in the US Territories, in both English and Spanish. Our Gun Violence Memorial Tour also made its latest stop in Houston, Texas.
