Today marks an important fundraising deadline in my second re-election campaign. Today is the first end-of-quarter reporting deadline of this election year. After today, all of our fundraising numbers will be publicly available for anyone to see, including the GOP.

National Republican groups like the RNC and NRCC have made me their target this November. They’ve already started pouring money into Connecticut and running ads against me. They churn out sensational headlines hoping legitimate media sources pick them up. They believe that winning Connecticut’s 5th district is the key to ending the Democratic majority in the House and they are willing to spend as much money as they need in that effort.
Losing the majority would mean an end to all the progress we are making on education, voting rights, health care, and more.

We did not come this far to only come this far!

They want me gone, but I’m not going anywhere. There is too much more work to do. In 2018, with the backing of thousands of supporters like you, I was able to beat the odds and win this election. I know we can do it again because we have purpose behind us; we have courage of conviction behind us; we have YOU behind us.
