Too cold to work in the yard this weekend? Don't forget you can put out landscape waste for free during Oswego's Spring Clean-up Week (April 18). No stickers are needed for this special collection, however you must use 30-gallon Kraft paper bags.
For ongoing landscape waste, stickers are required for each bag. Stop by Village Hall or any of the following Oswego businesses to buy Groot stickers for $2.50 each: Oswego Ace Hardware;?Jewel at 2540 Rt. 30; Jewel at 3795 Orchard; Liane's Family Pantry; and Meijer on Rt. 34.
Must-haves:
- Use 30-gallon Kraft bags
- Keep weight under 50 lbs
- Attach yard waste sticker
- Set out bags by 6 a.m.
Acceptable items:
- Leaves
- Grass clippings
- Branches
- Weeds
- Garden plants

State Senator Linda Holmes and Representative Keith Wheeler have partnered with the Illinois Secretary of State?s office to offer a mobile event at Village Hall on Friday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Services include driver?s license renewal and license plate renewal sticker.

- Real ID compliant driver?s license/ID card services are only available at a DMV
- Seniors ages 75+ must renew driver?s licenses at a DMV

Starting Wednesday, April 6, drivers may experience delays at Wolfs Crossing between Bluegrass Parkway and Douglas Road. Due to utility work, the road will be restricted to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for approximately one week, weather permitting. Follow the Village's social media for updates.?
Stop by Village Hall on Tuesday, April 5 between 5 and 6 p.m. to learn more about the proposed replacement project for the Minkler Road bridge over Morgan Creek. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and preliminary plans will be available to view and make comments. Immediately following the open house, the project will be presented to the Village Board at the 6 p.m. Committee of the Whole meeting. Use Google Street View to see the area.? |
