Hey y'all! Here's some of what's going on with the Chapter this week:
- We will be holding an election for Chapter Secretary at our next General Meeting, Saturday, April 23rd. The Secretary holds a voting seat on our Local Council and is responsible for recording and organizing minutes, resolutions, reports, and other official records of the DSA New Orleans chapter. If you're interested in the role and would like more details, or you would like to nominate yourself or another member, please email us at [email protected]! All members are eligible to run for this position.
- Join us this Sunday at 2pm for and help continue planning for a campaign to end of Entergy's exploitation of our city and for the municipalization of New Orleans energy services. Register for the call here.
-
At our last General Meeting, membership voted to dissent from the decision by DSA's NPC (National Political Committee) to decharter DSA's BDS (Boycott, Divest, and Sanction) Working Group. You can read the full resolution passed by membership here.
Solidarity,
New Orleans Local Council

New to DSA? Check out our chapter's new member resources here. If you've got any questions about how to get involved or the work our chapter is doing, give us a shout at [email protected].
Not yet a member? The most important tool that the working class has is organization. We're strong when we fight together. We have to build a durable, mass political organization to wield the kind of power we need to win real change in our society. If you aren't a dues-paying member of DSA yet, join today!
