After the primary election — when it was announced that we would be going to a runoff against Henry Cuellar — we saw a massive spike in grassroots contributions. But then, the news cycle changed and our fundraising took a nosedive. Here’s a screenshot from our ActBlue account:
As you can see, we lost fundraising momentum after it was announced that we would be headed to a runoff. But, with the runoff in just a few weeks, the reality is that this is the time when we need our fundraising to be improving.
We have a real shot at defeating Henry Cuellar — one of the most conservative Democrats in the House — but we have to reach our $150,000 end-of-quarter goal.
