Dear John,

Last night, in a historic vote ([link removed]) , MPs secured women’s ability to access safe, legal, at-home abortion care in England.

This is the biggest step-forward for abortion rights since the passing of the 1967 Abortion Act – and we could not have achieved it without your support.

It is of course absolutely staggering that the government tried to revoke women’s ability to end a pregnancy within the privacy and comfort of their own home, but we are delighted that MPs chose to right this wrong when they voted for Amendment 92 to the Health and Care Bill last night.

Thank you to everyone who contacted their MP, it truly made all the difference! You can see how MP voted here ([link removed]) and please consider sending a thank-you message if your local MP was one of the 212 MPs who voted “aye”!

We will continue to fight to defend and extend reproductive rights. If you would like to support our work, please consider becoming a Friend of BPAS ([link removed]) with a monthly donation.

Thank you.
