John,
This International Transgender Day of Visibility, we wanted to share three quotes from trans lawmakers on the frontlines in the fight for equality. They capture not only why so many trans people are committed to running for office, but why Victory Institute works tirelessly every day to ensure that trans voices are heard at all levels on government.
If you want to know the trans elected officials currently serving in the United States, check out our Out for America map here [[link removed]] . If you're a trans person looking to jumpstart your own political career, learn more here [[link removed]] !

Like many out leaders around the country, Delaware state Senator McBride, Kansas state Rep. Byers and Vermont state Rep. Small are the trans voices in the room. They are the ones pushing for change, and ensuring that LGBTQ lives aren’t forgotten when policy discussions happen. Out leaders like these are why we work so hard – we know they’re going to work just as hard for our rights.
If you're willing to support our work to boost trans leaders and elected officials, you can do so here. [[link removed]]
Thanks for standing with us,
